Deposit

 

We will be taking a deposit to secure your spot on the Bournemouth weekend workshop. The deposit payment is £50pp whichever room you choose.

 

Once you have secured your place we will send you our bank details to finalise payment. You can either make a payment straight away or anytime between now and 31st July. For full prices please see the "Pricing" tab (above if you are on a PC or at the bottom of the page on a mobile device). The deposit is non-refundable unless we can fill your place from anyone who is on our waiting list. Any rooms not paid in full by the payment deadline on the 31st July will be re-advertised for sale unless you have contacted us.

 

The Weekend

 

The weekend will start with drinks, a meal and informal introductions and over the course of the weekend you will be offered the chance to relax at a spa, wander around town and Christmas Market, visit the local art gallery and of course knit and crochet.

 

Debbie and Jane make great tutors with a long history of teaching and they really enjoy working alongside each other to create fun and informative workshops. They will each design a small project for you to work through over the course of the weekend and will be on hand to guide you through an array of techniques, typically including beading and colour work. If you would rather bring along and work through your own project surrounded my like minded people please feel free to do so.

Marsham Court Hotel

 

Edging the beautiful Dorset coast and sparkling sea, the Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth is a relaxing full-service hotel. A refreshing blend of contemporary design and friendly seaside ambiance, the hotel offers a welcoming retreat for groups and family holidays. Experience a haven of hospitality and impeccable service and stunning views across Bournemouth bay.

We have chosen this hotel as it is situated on the coastal cliff road in Bournemouth, just a 5 minute walk from the golden beaches and directly opposite the Russell Cotes Museum/art gallery and a couple of health spas.

 

Rooms

 

Please be aware that some of the Sea View rooms can be quite cool during the winter months. The Hotel do provide extra heating and bedding, but we know that some people have found the rooms chilly in the past, but we also know that some people prefer a cooler room! If you do book a Sea View room it might be worth bringing some extra clothing for night wear. 

The single rooms can be small. 

 

Accessible bedrooms

If you would like an accessible room with a walk in shower please book an Inland room. Non of the Sea View rooms accessibility additions

 

Christmas Market

 

As an added bonus the Bournemouth Christmas market & Christmas lights start on the 19th November. The lights are always wonderful and you can find a few Christams presents in the market. You can fgind mre inform ation  HERE.

 

Health Spa

 

If you fancy a bit of a pampering during your free time there are two health spas within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The Spindles spa is in the grounds of the Royal Bath Hotel and the entrance is just across the road from the Marsham Court Hotel. The Forever Gorgeous Spa can be found at the Queens Hotel.

 

Project

 

A project yarn pack will be available for you to work through during the weekend. In the past, most workshop participants do choose to work on the project, but it is not compulsory. We are more than happy if you would prefer to bring your own WIP and work on that instead in a friendly environment surrounded by like minded people.

 

Non Workshop Participants

 

If you would like to bring along a non workshop participant to share your room then purchase a Double/Twin room with single occupancy supplement and then contact us.

Your partner will be entitled to the sparkling wine reception, breakfast, lunch, dinner and the tea & coffee during the day. 

There are plenty of things in Bournemouth to keep a partner busy while you are in the workshop.

 

Covid 19

 

Who knows what's around the corner? Everything is dependant on the UK remaining open for business. We recommend taking out Covid insurance incase you fall ill prior to the workshop. This can cost as little as £5

 

Non Residential Participants

 

We have fewer bedrooms than normal this year so may have some space in the workshop room for non hotel guests. This option will only be available once all of the residentail spaces have sold and we know how many spaces we have left  in the workshop room. We will mnot be operating a waiting list for these places and will be allocating them on a first come, first served basis.
